ADDITIONAL CARES ACT FUNDING – APPLICATION FOR MINORS TURNING 18

ADDITIONAL CARES ACT FUNDING  TO BE RELEASED ON SEPTEMBER 14, 2020 

Fort Hall– In August, the Fort Hall Business Council approved additional General Financial Assistance in the amount of $400.00 to enrolled adult Tribal members only. The distribution of these funds will be released on Monday, September 14, 2020. 

If you received the first general assistance in the amount of $800, then you do not need to fill out any other application; however, this funding will automatically be sent out to the addresses on file from the first application. Direct Deposits will take up to 24-hours away depending on your bank and checks will be cut and mailed out ONLY (no pickups will be allowed) on Monday. Postal mail generally takes 3-5 days depending on the mailing address. Please do not call Finance to check on the status of this check. 

The purpose of this financial assistance is to provide a one-time payment to enrolled Tribal members 18 years of age or older who have experienced financial hardships due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Funding of this program is in accordance with the federal CARES Act Relief Fund and is non-taxable as a Tribal general welfare assistance program.

For those tribal minors that turn 18 years old between July 30, 2020 to December 30, 2020, they are ELIGIBLE for this additional one-time $400 funding.

These individuals need to fill out an application in order to receive the funding. The applications can be found online at www.sbtribes.com or copies are available at the Tribal Business Center (TBC) outside of the front entrance on top of the wooden drop box.
