Agricultural Resource Management

The Agricultural Resources Management Program office is located in the TBC.  Bill Snapp is the program manager (478-3860).  The ARM program’s mission is stewardship and preservation of the  agricultural resources on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation. Compliance and regulatory issues  regarding the Tribe’s Pesticide Code is our primary concern.  The ARM Department also administers the Tribe’s CRP and CCRP leases and oversees the mosquito abatement contract.  This year the ARM Department initiated a noxious weed control program that is directed at controlling invasive weeds from encroachment onto tribal lands. Finally the ARM Department desires to educate tribal members about pesticide use, West Nile Virus awareness, invasive weeds and other issues pertaining to agricultural uses of reservation lands.
