The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes has established a Tribal Complete Count Committee for the US 2020 Census. Our goal is to ensure that everyone understands the importance of the 2020 Census, and also has a place to have questions answered about the Census. It can be taken online, via mail or in person. It's quick and easy, as well as confidential.

Census 2020 Website.

The Census Bureau has created a website specifically to answer the many questions you may have about the details of the 2020 Census. It explains more about why everyone is counted and how that helps us to have fair representation. The Census also helps to get an accurate count to help distribute funds across the country, at more than $675 billion.

Census 2020 Is Private and Safe.

The Census 2020 protects your privacy. It's against the law for the Census Bureau to publicly release your responses in any way that could identify you or your household. By law, the Census Bureau cannot share your answers with any other government agency.

Census results help determine how billions of dollars in federal funding flow into states and communities each year. The results determine how many seats in Congress each state gets. It's mandated by the U.S. Constitution in Article 1, Section 2: The U.S. has counted its population every 10 years since 1790.

Your Voice Matter.

It's simple to participate and be counted in the Census, it's only a few questions. Learn more in our featured video with Tyson Shay on why he thinks it is important to be counted.
