COVID-19  VACCINE UPDATE

To date, the Tribes have given a total of 1,818 Moderna vaccines and 976 “booster” shots (the 2nd shot) to the Fort Hall community.

This breaks down to covering 16% of our Reservation population to-date. This is a high rate compared to the surrounding region and state.

The Tribes will be receiving a limited supply of Phizer vaccine next week that will also be available as an option. Otherwise, our main vaccine that we have been implementing has been Moderna.

According to CDC guidelines, if you have taken the vaccine and get exposed to a positive case, you will still be required to quarantine for 14 days.  Tribal Health officials are encouraging tribal members to get vaccinated; we have two health centers providing vaccines to our community- Fort Hall I.H.S at 208-238-5427 or HRSA Community Clinic at 208-238-5435.

If you need to contact a Tribal Contact Tracer call 208-478-3901 or 208-478-3902.

The Tribes will have a Facebook LIVE this Thursday, 2/25 at 12’noon on the Tribes official Facebook page, search for ‘shoban tribes.’
