COVID19 UPDATE FOR FORT HALL RESERVATION

Fort Hall – COVID-19 Community testing will continue this week Mon-Thurs from 12–5:45 p.m. at the Shoshone-Bannock Hotel & Casino (East Entrance). (THHS) Tribal Health & Human Services will be changing from the BINAX NOW test types to the ELLUME testing next week. This is due to manufacturing delays with the ‘BINAX NOW’ tests. ELLUME is a take-home test kit that requires a smartphone to complete. Members of the community can pick up an ELLUME home test kit starting next week, on Tues-Thursday, at the Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel from 12PM to 5:45PM. 

Individuals will have to present test results and Tribal ID to receive the $20 incentive cards.

(HRSA) Shoshone-Bannock Community Health Center is now offering Monoclonal antibody therapy by appointment. Individuals need a referral from their primary provider to ensure HRSA provides the appropriate service.

The numbers for this week as of October 19, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., are:

*Breakthrough cases are when a fully vaccinated person gets infected with the coronavirus.

Total Vaccines that have been given to Date 6,357 / Youth ages 12-17 years 464

The Tribes have given 6,357 vaccines to the Fort Hall community, which covers 57% of the reservation population. Of this number, 3,399 are fully vaccinated, 464 have been given to tribal youth, ages 12-17, by Fort Hall IHS.  $50.00 vaccination incentives can still be picked up at Not-tsoo Gah-nee. This is a “one-time-only” for those fully vaccinated and who have not yet received the incentive. (must show your vaccine card & Tribal ID/CIB).  Mandatory masks are in effect for the entire Fort Hall Reservation. Wear your mask when entering any business, including getting gas, buying groceries, or playing at the casino.

The ‘Binax NOW’ testing is available at the IHS south tent structure. Call 208-238-5494 to schedule an appointment.  The Not-tsoo Gah-Nee IHS Clinic (IHS) provides Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines. IHS offers a walk-in clinic on Monday-Wednesday, Friday 9–11 a.m., Thursday 1:30–3:30 p.m. Contact 208-238-5435 (THHS), 208-238-5427 (IHS Medical).  

The Shoshone-Bannock Community Health Center (HRSA) offers walk-in vaccinations seven days a week, currently offering Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson. COVID testing is available based on medical needs. Please call 208-478-3987 with any questions.
