Shoshone-Bannock Vaccine Plan to Include ALL 65 years and older Elders

Fort Hall-

We have great news to share before the end of the year! According to I.H.S and HRSA, vaccines will be issued to those tribal elders 65 years and older, simultaneously with the Shoshone and Bannock fluent speakers starting next week.

According to Tribal Enrollment, we have 575 enrolled members that are 65 years and older. Tribal Health will be contacting the elders to schedule a vaccine next week. We ask that when you are called to please keep the appointment.

The vaccine comes in a package of 10 doses and all need to be administered during the same time period. So these appointments are very important to keep.

If you are in need of a ride please let the health representative know when you are scheduling the vaccine.

Due to the holidays, there will be no vaccines give on December 31 and January 1st. They will proceed on Monday, January 4th.Once we receive enough vaccines, we will open vaccinations to the general public.
