Counseling and Family Services.
The Counseling and Family Services (CFS) Program seeks to deliver quality Mental Health and Medical Social Work services to the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes and all eligible recipients. These services will integrate traditional Native American beliefs and practices with Western attitudes and approaches, and will be delivered in a culturally competent, professional, confidential atmosphere.
Offering Services To Strengthen the Community.
Services offered include: individual, couples, child and family therapy. Psychological evaluations, psychiatric consultations, case management, 24 hour crisis intervention, group therapy (anger management, parenting, healthy relationship group), medical social work, education and prevention services and the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder team.
All Counseling and Family Services clientele may expect the highest level of professional integrity and ethical behavior from our staff. They may also trust that in providing these services, staff will treat them with the utmost dignity and respect. All contacts with our staff are confidential and protected by the Federal Privacy Act. Counseling and Family Services staff honor and respect Native American beliefs and healing practices. Counseling & Family Services has incorporated the sweat lodge as a form of treatment for clients and provided an annual âGrief Conferenceâ for the community.
