FORT HALL – On February 27, 2025, the Fort Hall Business Council approved 19 candidate petitions for ratification to be placed on the ballot for the Primary Election on Friday, March 28, per recommendation of the Tribal Election Board.
The approved candidates for nomination include Danita Arriwite, Marquette N. Bagley, Whitney Rae Burns, Louise S. Dixey, Janelle Rae Edmo, Wesley R. Edmo, Virginia M. Monsisco, Russell D. Haskett, Felicia Dawn Hernandez, Adam Boyd Hill, Jessica LaNae James, Stormee Lee Kipp, Roland Lee Marshall, Patazikivaa Perry, Robert W. Perry Jr., Nathan Small, Elma J. Thompson, Claudia Janese Washakie, and Marina Fast Horse.
During the Primary Election, registered voters may choose five or fewer candidates. Five candidates will continue to the General Election on May 30 to run against incumbents Ladd R. Edmo, Nancy Eschief Murillo, and Lee Juan Tendoy.
Primary Election early voting is on March 26 and 27 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Tribal Business Center. The Primary Election is on March 28 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the districts.
The Tribal Election Board encourages all eligible Shoshone-Bannock Tribal Members to register to vote at Tribal Enrollment. Eligible voters include any member of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes of the Fort Hall reservation who is 21 years of age or over and has maintained legal residence for at least one year on the Fort Hall Reservation. The Election Board will be at the upcoming district meetings to register voters.
