The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes received $21.2 million from the U.S. Treasury Department under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act (CRF) for fiscal relief for the coronavirus pandemic. The Fort Hall Business Council approved a one-time payment of $800 in economic assistance to enrolled Tribal members (adults and minors) who have experienced financial hardships due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They will also provide an additional $400 to adults after all payment is made.
Deadline to apply is November 13, 2020 at midnight
Funding of this program is in accordance with the federal CARES Act Relief Fund and is non-taxable as a Tribal general welfare assistance program. Furthermore, in accordance to Federal guidance for the CARES Act, it states that “a per capita payment to residents of a particular jurisdiction without an assessment of individual need would not be an appropriate use of payments from the Fund”.
To abide by federal guidelines and requirements, an application is necessary for Tribal members to apply for the funding. Eligibility includes: must be Shoshone-Bannock Tribal member, must attest to having been financially impacted either directly or indirectly by the COVID-19 pandemic, and individuals can only receive this General Financial Assistance once.

- Drop off your application at the Tribal Business Center secure dropbox, located at the front door. Applications from the dropbox will be gathered daily.
- To fill out on a phone:
