The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes Title IV-D Child Support Services Program became comprehensive and opened doors for customers on October 2015. The Child Support Program currently has 145 open cases and has collected and distributed approximately $140,600 to date.

The Child Support Program is one of over 60 tribal child support programs across the nation. The Program assists with location of custodial and non-custodial parents, establishment of paternity (legal fatherhood), establishes child support orders, enforcement of child support orders, modification of child support orders, collecting and distributing child support obligations, assisting with intergovernmental cases to and from other Tribal/State child support agencies and offers family-centered services and referrals.

The Program also monitor’s child support cases. In order for the Child Support Program to assist, the Program will need an application for services. The Program does not automatically monitor the case if child support is granted in tribal court. The custodial or non-custodial parent will need to fill out an application for services.
