FORT HALL – The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes Office of Public Affairs will host the 2025 Fort Hall Business Council General Election Candidate Forum on Friday, May 16, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Tribal Business Center Council Chambers.
The forum is an important opportunity for Tribal members to hear directly from candidates for the Fort Hall Business Council, who will share their experience, priorities, and vision for the future of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes.
Fort Hall Business Council candidates include Louise S. Dixey, Felicia Dawn Hernandez, Russell D. Haskett, Nathan Small, and Elma J. Thompson. Incumbents seeking re-election are Ladd R. Edmo, Nancy Eschief Murillo, and Lee Juan Tendoy.
The forum supports transparency, community engagement, and informed participation ahead of the General Election on Friday, May 30. A detailed agenda will be released before the event.
The Office of Public Affairs is accepting questions from Tribal members for the “Questions from the membership” segment. Submit questions by Monday, May 12, to Public.Affairs@sbtribes.com. All submissions will be reviewed to ensure they are respectful, relevant, and appropriate for a public forum.
The Office of Public Affairs promotes Tribal Election participation as it empowers self-governance, Tribal sovereignty, helps shape community direction, and honors the legacy of ancestors who
fought for Tribal rights and representation.

Voting information:
All voting is in person only and one must provide their Tribal ID. Register to vote at the Enrollment Office, online at www.sbtribes.com/vote/, or at the polls.
Voter eligibility requirements include being an enrolled Shoshone-Bannock Tribal member, 21 years of age or older, and resident of the Fort Hall Indian Reservation.
Early voting will be on May 28 and 29 at the Tribal Business Center from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
