Fort Hall Business Council statement on unauthorized fireworks use

The Fort Hall Business Council is aware of a social media post by a fireworks vendor promoting fireworks use in connection with Juneteenth celebrations.

We want to make it clear: There are currently no designated areas approved for fireworks use on the Fort Hall Reservation at this time. No individual or business has the authority to permit fireworks in any location.

Promoting unauthorized use in these areas is dangerous and a serious safety concern. This type of activity puts our community, land, and property at risk, and individuals may be held responsible for any resulting fires, injuries, or property damage that may occur.

We urge all vendors and community members to respect Tribal law and prioritize public safety. Let’s work together to have a safe holiday season for all.
