Fort Hall Fire Department Responds Swiftly to Residential Fire

On January 31st, 2024 at approximately 2:00 pm, the Fort Hall Fire Department promptly responded to a report of a residential fire at 126 W. Agency Rd. #2. Upon arrival, the first units discovered light smoke emanating from the back of the structure. Notably, the house was found vacant.

Further investigation revealed a small fire in the back utility room, which was swiftly contained within five minutes of the Fire Fighter’s arrival. The skilled response and coordinated efforts of the Fort Hall Fire Department prevented the escalation of the incident, thereby minimizing potential damages.

The nature of the fire has raised suspicions, leading to a decision to transfer the fire investigation to Fort Hall Police Department. This step ensures a thorough examination of the incident to determine it’s origin and any potential foul play involved.
