Garendcreek Fire: Over 1,000 Acres Burned, 30 Percent Contained
FORT HALL, ID- Fort Hall Fire Department Fire Chief, and Incident Commander, Eric King, provided an update on the Gardencreek Fire within the Lincoln Creek District on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation.
Gardencreek Fire has burned over 1,000 acres and is currently 30 percent contained. While the fire did jump the Blackfoot River last night, the fire progression has slowed down. Which caused evacuations to be lifted.
We are asking the public to stay out of the area to ensure safety and to allow firefighters to continue their work without disruption. Crews remain on scene with ground and air support actively engaged in prevention efforts.
Updates will be provided as necessary
