Paulette Jordan for Idaho Governor to visit Fort Hall

On Wednesday, February 28, 2018, Paulette Jordan (Coeur d’alene Tribe), Native American Democratic candidate running for Governor of Idaho, will be visiting the Fort Hall community and everyone is invited. Paulette’s one-day visit includes a meeting with the Fort Hall Business Council in the morning, a Community Meeting at 11-1:30PM at the Shoshone-Bannock Hotel & Event Center and face to face meeting with the students at Sho-Ban Jr/Sr high school for a school assembly and to play basketball with the youth.

Paulette Jordan is no stranger to Fort Hall as she has family connections to the Tribe and regularly participates in the annual basketball tournaments. As well, she has worked with the Tribes as the only Native American Representative serving the Idaho Legislature from the Northern District 5. During her time with the state legislature, her support was valuable to all Tribes of Idaho.

The Community Meeting is open to the public at the Shoshone-Bannock Hotel & Event Center and starts promptly at 11:00AM with a cultural welcome provided by the Chief Tahgee Elementary Academy School students, a welcome by the Tribal leadership and Miss Shoshone-Bannock Queen, Crystal Ariwite. Coffee, punch and cookies will be provided to the public sponsored by the Fort Hall Casino.  After the Community Meeting, Paulette will speak at a school assembly at the Sho-Ban Jr/Sr high school (6-12 grade students) and shoot some basketball with the youth.
