Shoshone-Bannock Tribes Primary Election Sample Ballot released

FORT HALL — The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes Election Board has released the sample ballot for the Fort Hall Business Council Primary Election.

The Primary Election will be Friday, March 27, with voting taking place at district polling locations.

Early voting for the Primary Election will be at the Tribal Business Center on March 25 and 26 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Registered voters may select up to three candidates on the primary ballot.

Candidates appearing on the Primary Election ballot include Jamie Dawn Bache, Louise S. Dixey, Bobbie Jo Penney, Lemuel M. Stone, Michael Alan Tindore Sr., and Claudia Janese Washakie.

The three candidates receiving the highest number of votes will advance to the General Election, where they will run against incumbents Ronald Todd Appenay, Devin Dwayne Boyer, and Donna K. Thompson.

The General Election will be on Friday, May 29, with voting also taking place at district polling locations. Early voting for the General Election will be available May 27 and 28 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Tribal Business Center.

A General Election Candidate Forum will be hosted in May at the Tribal Business Center Council Chambers. Additional details will be shared once arrangements are finalized.

Eligible voters are encouraged to review the sample ballot and participate in the upcoming elections. Tribal Election voter registration requirements include being and enrolled Shoshone-Bannock Tribal member, 21 years of age or older, and a resident of the Fort Hall Indian Reservation for at least one year. 

Register at the Enrollment Department, online at www.sbtribes.com/vote/, or at the polls. Bring your Tribal ID.
