Temporary service changes to 477 Programs & Elderly Nutrition during HVAC replacement
FORT HALL — Due to a scheduled HVAC system replacement at the Old Casino, temporary service adjustments will occur for the 477 Programs and the Nutrition Department from December 15–19.
Beginning Monday, December 15, the 477 Programs will operate on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Staff will continue providing services on-site as temperatures allow. No services will be available on Wednesday, December 17, as the property entrance will be blocked to allow HVAC replacement work on both the southside and northside of the building.
The Elderly Nutrition Department will maintain operations in its kitchen and grill area; however, dine-in services will be temporarily replaced with grab-and-go meals for the safety of community members and staff. Home delivery services for current applicants will continue as scheduled, except on Wednesday, December 17, when no services will be provided. Grab-and-go meals and home delivery will be available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
The Elders’ Sweater Day and Christmas luncheon have been rescheduled for January. During this period, elders may also access services at the Blackfoot Senior Center or the Pocatello Senior Center, which are available for a small donation.
The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes appreciate the community’s understanding and cooperation as this essential facility upgrade is completed.
For more information contact Joyce Hayes, Elderly Nutrition Director at 208-478-3858 or Lori Pahvitse, 477 Human Services Director at 208-478-3737.
