Tendoy fills FHBC seat following Special Run-Off Election; Thompson elected Chairwoman

FORT HALL — The Tribal Election Board has certified the results of the Fort Hall Business Council Special Run-Off Election on June 20, 2025. Lee Juan Tendoy secured the win with 299 votes, ahead of Louise S. Dixey who received 261 votes.

Tendoy was sworn into office on June 24 in a ceremony administered by Fort Hall Bureau of Indian Affairs Superintendent Dawn D. Davis.

Following the swearing-in, the Fort Hall Business Council convened to elect new officers for the 2025–2026 term. The newly elected officers are as follows: Donna Thompson, Chairwoman; Lee Juan Tendoy, Vice Chairman; Devon Boyer, Secretary; Ladd Edmo, Treasurer; Ronald Todd Appenay, Sergeant-at-Arms; Nathan Small and Russell Haskett, Council Members.

The council also confirmed district representatives for the five reservation districts: Lincoln Creek representative is Donna Thompson, Bannock Creek representative is Russell Haskett, Ross Fork representative is Ronald Todd Appenay, Fort Hall representatives are Lee Juan Tendoy and Devon Boyer, Gibson representatives are Ladd Edmo and Nathan Small.
