The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes and ISU invite graduate students, incoming graduate students, undergraduate students, and community members to explore opportunities to join a Tribally guided Camas Prairie Project. The project works to protect camas, a culturally significant traditional food, and its wet-meadow habitat at the Camas Prairie Centennial Marsh IDFG Wildlife Management Area in south-central Idaho through restoration, invasive-grass management, research, and education.
We are seeking interested students in development of an I-CREWS Seed Funding proposal examining how water and energy systems intersect and interact to affect camas habitat, Tribal food sovereignty, and community resilience. Interested students must be enrolled, OR willing to enroll, at Idaho State University or another educational institution in Idaho. To learn more, contact Nolan Brown at nolan.brown@sbtribes.com, Bailey Dann at bailey.dann@sbtribes.com, and/or Georgia Hart-Fredeluces at georgiahartfredel@isu.edu.
